Review- Beach Bar Baby

Beach Bar BabyBeach Bar Baby by Heidi Rice

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

First let me say, despite the old rule “Never judge a book by it’s cover,” I’m guilty of it. I’m a title, cover, blurb sort of girl. If the first two don’t catch my eye, the likelihood of me turning the book over (or in the days of ereaders, clicking the button to read more) is slim. I’m also just as guilty of liking many of the books that I first snarled my nose at. And while I found the cover of this book to be simple and cute, I thought the title was a little cheesy–please don’t let that discourage you.

Ella Hadley jets off to Bermuda for a holiday of a lifetime, after receiving some difficult news. Unfortunately for a ingle woman, the resort, where she’s staying, is full of happy couples and is about as depressing as the reason she fled there.

Enter snorkel captain, Cooper Delaney. Not only does he ooze sex appeal, he’s quick to show his coy side too. He gives Ella the snorkel trip of her life and a night full of glorious sex. But once. ELLA gets back to London, she realizes, that wasn’t all he gave her.

I’m a sucker for secret baby stories. I love them and Beach Bar Baby did not dissappoint. While the first chapter was a little overwhelming–this is a fast past story. As soon as I fell into the author’s style of writing, I was addicted. It’s sexy, fun and a little quirky. Definitely worth the read.
